Submit your blog to blog directories. Feed traffic is good too, if your RSS/XML/ATOM feed gets syndicated. While blog comments that are off topic or anchored to SE keywords is wrong (it's spam and is quickly dying out), on topic blog comments that feature snippets of your entries is a good way to get traffic to your site. It also complements the content of the host blog. IMHO
