          Dunno exactly but I think the SL, because it's more a sports car and mostly driven faster and harder than an elegant S-class, but that are just my thoughts, could be wrong...

              Country weather conditions should be important too. At least I can see here in greece that SL holds price better than S class. Probably hard to find parking is another reason for that.

                  I would think S depreciates faster... both great cars with alot of demand but i think there are more people that would buy a 2 seater convertable given the choice. more demand = higher resale.
