Hosting - Tell me about some -spam or recommend me please!

I am looking for a small adult hosting account maybe only 1000MB-2000MB to start off with. I'm diversifying my hosting companies - I already have a host but I need to experiment with better plans and I want the reliability of more than one host and IP address etc. for different websites and domains.

I always start off with a small package first then upgrade later, hence the ~1000MB.

Please let me know about who you recommend, or if you are a company please let it rip (i.e. advertise me, hit me, spam me, whatever.. I'm all open arms).

Since the account will be small to start off with, I am obviously looking for low pricing to begin with as a testing account. I upgrade quickly to a large plan if I like what I see with a small account. That's how I always do it and that's how I've been successful at getting to know if the hosting company is a nice one.

I would prefer PHP/CGI access.. probably a linux server. Real CGI-bin access (i.e. ELF executable applications not just perl). Maybe windows hosting but there's probably more linux out there and that's what I really am aiming for.
I do not need a dedicated account or shell access immediately, but I would upgrade with time when that need arose.

Ok so any body have Sam Spade the IP checker tool? Or what other method would you prefer? Sam spade allows you to check any IP and see of it's location, and verify that it is not a proxy server etc. Then you can take the IP and find out which city it is from. Should say about Edmonton/millwoods/ Canada.

P.S.: forum administrator, feel free to verify this.

Well I'm not sending you any ICQ immediately, you'll probably hack into my computer for all I know. Sorry but you've really scared me now. I think I'll have to get a copy of linux that no body runs before I do that.. if ICQ is even available on that distro.

Maybe I'll ICQ you.. but shit, you scare me dude. These forums should have a copy of my IP address avail to admin.

Booty/Korzon/m00d's server was down for over a month. Their support email didn't work and when someone called them on it on another board, she posted all private emails saying it was in her TOS that they had the right to do that.
