    bought a new 60" LCD tv today

    sony 60 inch HDTV widescreen LCD. they have a 70 inch but it was just too big for the room, had to settle for the 60.

    it's not like a plasma wall mount - but it's 1/2 the tickness of a rear projection which is cool!!!! and supposed to last a lot longer with no burn in. picture was VERY clear - they deliver next week.

                          sorry - forgot to take pics or even a brouchure lol - just a receipt - they took my money and threw me outa of the store saying they MIGHT deliver it lol\

                          to be honest i'd say it's almost 2X as clear as plasma. MUCH BETTER - and the plasma thing when in a stand take up about the same amout of room. there was a lot of features that were appealing - only $6K too.

                                          I wanted one of those, but it was too heavy for my glass wall unit, so I had to settle for a 42" plasma, which is surprisingly heavy as hell and i could hear the glass stress when I placed it..

                                          Shitty thing about plasma's is you cant move them much, you need special travel cases that cost like 1000 dollars. Gayness.

                                                  Nice buy Scott... plasmas are great if you are short on room.. but their is better quality out there..

                                                  samsung makes a DLP rear projection as well.. like 11 inches deep... that has superior picture quality to plasma.. and will also last longer than plasma.. i have not read up too much on LCD.. but I know Texas Instruments have been getting rave reviews on their DLP technology by all of the Audio visualphiles...

                                                                                                                  yep, i ordered the 42 inch flat panel (thin) LCD Sony. a guy is coming up here here next month to design a custom swing arm for it. when it's finally all set up i'll take some pics.

                                                                                                                          i was looking at those - i seriously considered it but this is for my cottage and i like big screens. just a fettish i guess. they are VERY sweet though.

                                                                                                                                              that looks like it - mine was $6K canadian though with stand and extra toys - DVD, line claring power bar, high end cables, etc - listed for more but i buy about $30k a year in electronic toys from this store in winnipeg and they love me and give me super discounted rates
