                      all those resorts are all inclusive for around a grand for 6 nights 7 days

                                                  I was there several years ago.

                                                  The first adjective that comes to mind is "quiet".

                                                  Punta Cana is on the Eastern-most tip of the Dominican Republic, about 4 hours drive from the Capital, Santo Domingo.

                                                  I'm not sure what "type" of vacation you're looking for, but, unless you're happy to stay on the resort grounds and enjoy the all-inclusive, you might get a little bored.

                                                  Santo Domingo has casinos, clubs and pretty good night life altogether -- in other words SIN.

                                                  In Punta Cana, you have to brinbg your own sin, if you catch my drift --
