    My cat owns me

*cry* This is embarrassing to admit.. I've been up since 5am. Not because I needed to wake up early -- nooooooooo -- but because my cat wanted me to. When he is awake and doesn't want me to sleep, he will repeatedly jump on my face and attack me. I've learned to sleep cocooned in a few layers of blankets with my hands covering my face. This still isn't good enough and sometimes him teeth will puncture through the blankets. When he bites me, I kick/throw him off the bed. He's resilient and won't give up until I get out of bed.
    I am so owned.

I like animals in general but if my cat pulled that shit, she'd be spending the night locked in the cabinet under the sink.

Admitting you are owned is the first step..

My cat and I have a verbal agreement. She doesn't bug me and I feed her at regular intervals.

Sounds like a kitten. They get over that, eventually. If it's not, you spoiled him. Shame on you!

                      I'm owned by mine too..

My three cats don't own me. They think I'm mommy.. They follow me around the house all day long like puppydogs.. the second I sit down they fight over my lap and milktread me... if I even go into the bathroom and close the door an dleave them outside they scratch the door... It makes me mental sometimes One of my cats even crys at the window when I leave the house.

I've got a cat like that. Thankfully though, she doesn't bother me. Just my big kitty, but from the looks of it...he doesn't seem to mind much.

                              I had the same problem.

                              When I shut the door...

He'll just meow for hours til I come out. The important thing is ignoring him just once and your cat will stop bugging you.

my cats usually sleeps at day and plays roughly at night and it doesn't bother me at all coz we fall to bed at the same time.

you might want to close your door when you go to bed or adjust your sleeping schedules if necessary.

My cat does almost the same thing. But I have a 30 pound mini pinscher who will pounce her if she gets too aggressive and bitchy.

And the cat is not allowed in the bedroom but sometimes sneaks in there and hides before we go to bed. She will hide all night until I wake up, otherwise she knows I will kick her out.

                                  cats are so damn manipulative

I fully admit to being owned by my cats ..... all gasp 4 of them.

My male has his own pillow and won't go to sleep unless I'm holding his paw.

His sister - must sleep wrapped around my foot

The Psyco from Hell - sleeps with my daughter

And the new kitten goes back and forth between me and my daughter all night

They are a constant source of entertainment and comfort....

yeah I know I'm the crazy cat lady, and I know once you go over 4 you become the crazy lesbian cat lady.

But I've always believed that pussy is a good side dish.

After being awake for a long time my cat allowed me to go back to sleep. I took a nap and got an extra hour of sleep in. I can't close the door anymore because when I do he destroys my carpet with his teeth. I have expensive berber carpet and he has almost destroyed the carpet by my door. Although it needs to be replaced now, it looks good enough to wait and I don't want it looking worse. I'll be moving in a year and don't want to replace the carpet until I'm trying to sell the house. I suspect he knows this..

my cat's from the streets, i picked him up coz it was raining hard that day, and he looked like he wasnt even a month old. so anyway he and i got attached to each other. he ruined my door screen coz that's where he goes in from his nightly prowls (whatever). he'd look at me with those sarcastic eyes of his whenever i go to work without ironing my clothes, like saying: man, my PET looks like shit. haha.
