    You should really think about talking to Lightspeed again (it seems as though this model was the one to blame and got things heated between you and Steve) and see if he will come to an understanding that since you are young and new to this biz you didn't realize his $3500 was non-negotiable. BUT even if he still does not re-offer $3500 you should be the better man and apologize for calling him a "Dick" and hope that your next dealings will be better (ya never know what could happen in the future).

    If you don't want $3500 anymore you should still try to talk to Steve and see that there are no hard feelings for the future.(Steve seems like a reasonable and rational person, so I think this could be beneficial for both of you in the future).
