We ain't talking about no "tsunami" with this. When the entire west coast of N america plunges into the ocean, I should think the resulting wall of water (maybe more than one) would be incredible. Much more than a few small islands could handle.
I felt a tiny earthquake when I was down in Acapulco last time. It lasted for about 20 seconds and moved the bed out 2 feet from the wall, and my room-mate freaked out bad. We never get earthquakes in Winnipeg. All we know here are winter and mosquitos.
