We agreed on the deal as we had been friends for so long, and I introduced her to the main producers in the adult biz over here, so 50/50 was a natural agreement. We spoke about me being her agent for a while, but we decided to build the site instead as I felt awkward taking money from her that way...
I shoot all the content except the b/g, as that's the one style she doesn't feel comfortable doing with me behind the camera. We have a friend who shoots that and he does it on a content share basis or he pays her, gives us the stills for the site and we promote the film when it's released on Dvd.
As I said, Sahara is a full time model and as well as the films she's shot so far, she also appears on UK satellite tv at least once a week in a hardcore g/g show. Any money she makes from the site is a bonus to her normal work, which earns her $11000-14000 a month. The only prob I have is explaining that what she see's on the CCBill stats as gross sales isn't what we get in the end... LOL. I wish CCBill would make the last column the amount we will receive after deductions.. AC/EGS Pay had that as a feature when they were processors, as we webmasters pointed it out while it was still in beta would be a good idea
In the UK there are a few webmasters who work with models successfully running a solo site on a 50/50 basis... Maybe it's just a UK thing. One friend of mine looks after quite a few of them and never has a problem. In fact he's now stopped taking on more models as he works all hours of the day as it is.Comment

For starters, your not out as much money as your suggesting. The equipmnent is something you can use again and again and again with different models so you can't really include that in the loss. Your not out on money for the model because you have her content, and I can tell you this, its not the amount of content you have, its the quality of the content. I do not see where your out money.
The situation did not work out with that girl, get used to it and move on, launch the site, use her as the spokesperson, then add other content...its not hard. If you have good content use it, if you dont, toss it and start over. There is a million things you can do, dont focus on the one bit of content, this business is a bitch, like most businesses, stay in it long enough and your going to get fucked over, stabbed in the back and ripped off.

yah , thinking over it... i don't think it will be so bad... because of this situation i have made a lot of new contacts... i think i'll just launch her site and offer lifetime membership or something along those lines... a lot of very nice people have offered me free content.. i'm not going to use it because i dont want something for free... but everyones been really helpfull...

I ran into a problem like this too back in november and the best thing to do at this point is just promote the site with what you have and add in some filler content. I had about 30 pic sets and 13 videos from this girl then she got this new boyfriend and just flaked on me so i just used it.Comment

If Steve has decided not to use the model make a site with that content you have, get back as much money as you can, and then put all of the content for sale on Ounique.com . They'll sell it for you to their huge database of webmasters and give you 50% of all sales forever. 4 years from now you'll still be making money on that content.
Of course, since you need money now your best bet is to sell your content to Lightspeed. Keep trying to negotiate until they say, "Absolutely not. We are not interested." At that point, see my first paragraph.Comment

This might be a cool time to think about using an AVS system. Deluxe Pass would probably make you a decent amount of money and provide you with the content that will keep the rebills flowing.
