You all got hosed by the model. Why be pissed at one another about it? It comes with the territory man, it isn't the first time you're going to have model problems and lose money. This is business, it comes with a certain degree of risk... sometimes the risk pays off, sometimes you get hosed. The trick is to take full advantage of the "pay off" situations and learn from your mistakes in the "hosed" situations.
