    sick of useless ARS sig fucks? who add nothing at all and are here just to get paid?

    Put them all on fucking IGNORE. if everyone puts them on ignore, they get no more impressions, hence no more $ and they go away. its that simple. we can kill this beast if we all work together.

    (yes im aware there is a few that are worth talking to, but im refering to the masses of others)

                                      Yeah I know what you mean.. I find myself doing the same thing. There are a few people who are abusing the ARS system, but most people with ARS in their sigs post about the same amount of crap and good posts as everyone else on this board.

                                                              Well, I'm sorry I have to disagree with you here brand0n. I do understand that some posters from ARS are a pain in the neck...but so are a whole lot of other people around this board. People that have an ARS button in their sig get paid a small amount for having it in their signature...however...the people that seem to complain the most about them are people sporting a button/banner with THEIR affiliate code in it. The way I see it, in the long run you earn a hell of a lot more off of that than the ARS people do. For many of them it would be much more profitable to stick a banner in their sig where they get paid 20% for referrals...could add up to a pretty decent amount over time..and be far more lucritive than the pittance they make now.

                                                              There is a one day signature market where people whore their sig space....people who post long lists of sponsors with their affiliate codes every chance they get...and people who have their sig space devoted to a sponsor in hopes of getting the referral fee.

                                                              We are almost all whores here one way or another. Whoring for a monthly sum, referral fees...making deals....spamming content....the list goes on. To me that is what GFY is about...learning about other sponsors....content providers...the list goes on. I see no reason to pick on ALL people who have the ARS button in their sig...that is like picking on an entire race cause the people next door piss you off. Take away the whoring..and all that other stuff and you know what you are left with? Pics of Britney Spears and someone who wants to show the shit they had earlier in the day. I have signed up for several sponsors via GFY...all through people's signature banners....I have bought a ton of content from people who have "spammed" their wares on GFY....and I even whored my signature one month to Lensman. So in my humble opinion...unless you can sport that banner in your signature with NO affiliate code then we can't really complain about ALL ARS posters. Complain about people specifically...but certainly don't pick on them all.

Pimproll is an awesome program and I have them in my sig because they convert better for me than any other sponsor and I like to support the companies so they are around a very long time. Oh, and don't bother checking, my affiliate code is in my signature and from my stats, there are some very happy webmasters out there who are glad they clicked on my signature.

                                                                                              I also assume that you have made some webmasters happy as well as made yourself a few bucks by having yours in your signature.

                                                                                                      Brandon, why don't you make it fair and ban ALL sigs? Why should you make money off of yours but we can't make money off of ours? And it's not like everytime you post something it's some kind of great educational tool. Although I am quite sure you have a ton of good info to give, you spend just as much time in here fucking off and playing around as everyone else does.                                                                                                                                               I wouldn't leave because this place still gets me plenty of business (some from guys that just joined too ...) but I agree then for a normal webmaster there isn't much to learn anymore .

More threads & reply's mean more pageviews... the more pageviews, the more he can sell advertising spots for on the board.
                                                                                                                                                                          Maybe because it ruins the experience for many to have to wade through smilies in every thread of interest. I have found myself clicking and vieweing less and less threads lately because I am tired of being assaulted with useless smilies I have to scroll through. How your logic works is disturbing.

                                                                                                                                                                                  The only solution that makes sense is to ban sigs that get paid per impression so the incentive to post a thumbs-up smilie is lost. I hope everyone has a chance to make money off their sigs but CPM based remuneration is breeding idiots out of the woodwork here and is causing serious posters with ARS sigs to be ignored...so how can ARS think this is a viable marketing campaign anyway.
