if it's unlocked should work. i bought a treo650 smartphone from the states (unlocked), and just popped my cell phone's sim card and it worked no problem.

To my knowledge if you have a GSM card and a factory unlocked phone within the GSM frequency range of your carrier then yes. Post the details of the phone, your carrier etc. and I can give you more input.

I believe if they are unlocked you can get service anywhere. You just to make sure which providers are in your area.

Is it a GSM phone? Do you have a sim card in your phone that you can transfer to the factory unlocked phone?

Get a tri-band phone. Then you can use it in anywhere.. including europe and asia..
