    What makes USA the "Greatest Country in the World" ?

    I've heard lots of americans claim it, but seriously now - no flame intended, I'd just like to hear the arguments. I've travelled all over the US on a business, and would have to say it's a great place to visit and do business - but what makes it the "Greatest Country in the World"?

    Is it the excellent leadership?
    Is it the unbeatable Healthcare system?
    The low crime?
    The low unemployement?

    Can't be any of those, so please, enlighten me.

                          Okay, score 1 for the US - this is deffinately true; the US has freedom and the ability that you can make something of yourself.

                          But so does a lot of other free world countries; England, Canada, etc.

                              I'm not American but I must admit for the most part, America rocks...and I think it is because of its freedom. Of course, Canada rocks too...cause we have all that stuff like healthcare and low crime. Our leadership sucks though and we could certainly use more jobs, less taxes and lower prices. I guess you can't have everything.

                                          I agree - and I said I loved doing business/visiting the US. I also vacation there sometimes - it is a great place, I just want to hear the arguments that make it the "best".
