one htaccess file for all sites, they have to be all on 1 server to make it easy

They're just sharing the password resource, be it a htpasswd file or a db

first problem I guess.
Seems they are on 2 servers at 2 different hosts even.

If I am not mistaken it is possible to sell 2 sites or more with one "join" as you say. I believe ccbill has an option for this, only it must be requested and is only available to high volume clients as the chargeback rate is much higher.

That sorta seems unusual.....
Why would the chargeback rate be higher if someone
actually gets two sites on one join???
