Even if there were no troops in the middle east, I still don't think America will do much to defend Taiwan from China in the even China takes military action.
America would continue to sell weapons to Taiwan to help it defend itself, but that's about it IMO.
There are too many negative consequences for America to enter a war with China over Taiwan's sovereignty.
