if you say stopping power is the same as always, then its gonna be the pad indicators telling you they are getting to the point of replacement. Take 1 tire off run your finger along the rotor, front and back. That will tell you right away. Im willing to bet its the pad indicator, which is nothing more than a small metal tab that touches the rotor while depressing the brakes, thus if its touching while braking thats telling you the pads are below what the manufacturer recommends.
