He said he waited until the "$45" promotion to run this test. How often does that occur? Your typical sponsor will pay $30 or even $35 on a normal day. That's what you need to take into account when looking at the results.

Hey NoCarrier thx for posting this. Interesting stats.
#1 The CTR% is lower than I would like, especially for a bought spot.
All my clients I tell them that if there are any issues with their galleries less than acceptable ctr% etc I will be more than happy to tweak it.
However in the end it's all about $ amount and that is what counts.
#2 The conversion ratio is decent, and it's nice you have at least covered your expenses thus far, but as stated by a few a more the holiday weekend will affect sales to a degree. By how much, you will never know.
For those of you who do not like the design, that's cool. Everyone has an opinion and not everything will be something you like.
I added the descriptive text to help people understand what it is, as well as to give the gallery some spider food.
I also focused on the $1 join because it is a good selling point.
We all know TGP submission is not a game where you can just throw something out there and expect to make thousands of dollars in one listing.
It's a game where you have to analyze your work, test it tweak it, and then hopefullly you will see some good results.
IMO this gallery template has a good start, a nice foundation to build upon.
What could be changed?
Make the top gif a bit more prominent, maybe making it the only "click" here type link.

Personally I think the gallery is fine enough layout wise but certainly not content wise.
Strategiaclly the Sponsor is doing a dialer and from the sounds of it they aint paying on that dialer income.
Thats gonna cut the nuts off profits in itself on this campaign.
Why didnt NoCarrier go and use a sponsor that pays some on Dialer Revenue if a dialer is comming into play with this scenerio?
IE: CeCash or something there are afew others that pay on dialer income as well so basically money has already been lost!
Also this galleries content is very weak in the niche it is trying to sell in all honesty I am surprised its getting the results it is.

From the listing days, to the sponsor, to the changed template.
I've got clients who are very happy with my work and come back time and time again and the reasoning is not based on a one day shot.

I believe trial price shouldn't be mentioned on a gallery,unless it links directly to join page.
1.1% CTR having the trial price is very good.

But lets say the ctr becomes 5% that will mean 5x more hits to your paysite. Maybe the conversion ratio will drop a bit, but it won't drop 5 times.
I have tried a lot of galleries on a lot of those high traffic tgps, and really just giving the surfer what he wants (clean layout, and good pictures), will make him click on the smallest textlink. You don't need huge flashing, click here now, banners.
I'm just saying this since it was a nice idea of you to post this thread, and a 1% ctr is not good enough.

You hit the nail on the head.. there are just too many variables.. A sponsor could rock on one tgp's traffic and totally suck on another one's.. That's why it amazes me when people say a sponsor flat out sucks.. how could they POSSIBLY know unless they've tried every possible avenue. And as for the template itself, it's always important to test a template, then tweak it.. People who intend on posting a particular template more than once generally know they have to test it for a few days, streamline it to the traffic, and go from there.. I can do ctrs of at least 5% and convert under 1:500.
I'd rather send the traffic to the paysite anyway then letting them exit the gallery. People do save paysites to their favs, especially those with sample vids.Comment
