    comparing a few hosting companies, opinions needed [no spam]

    Hi there. I'm leaving my old hosting company due to lack of customer support and services (no SSH, cron, multiple domain hosting).

    I'm comparing between a few (virtual) hosts in the < $10 per month range for my new TGP site, please let me know if you'd had any experience with the following:

    advancedhosters.com > package G

    hqhost.net > standard package

    webair.com > virtual starter package

    They all offer everything I need right now (cron, SSH, MySQL, PHP + Zend, etc) but is there anything else I should think about? Is that enough bandwidth, 5-10GB?

    I also tested out their average ping on http://www.hostpulse.com/app/networktools/ping.asp and they all seem pretty fast!

    I've sifted through most of the spam on GFY and those seem to be the best in my price range.

    Any help is appreciated!

                          i'm @ webair. good people availiable via phone,live,ICQ, or email.
                          willing and helpful..been with them for about 5/6 months..only time i had downtime is when i deleted a subdomain and my whole site shut down called them @ 6pm on a SAT was answeed within 2 rings and was back up

                                          10Gig with not 1, but 2 thumb tgps?

                                          Let's pretend it is only one site:

                                          html = 10k
                                          avg. thumb = 5k

                                          say 96 thumbs...

                                          each page view would be 490k That gives you about 20,000 page views a month to play with... oops, take off some for page graphics, banners and email...

                                          you may get lucking enough to have a sale or two.

                                          Wait, shared server... somebody else on that same box had a listing on the hun... now, your thumbs are taking forever to load so NO sales.

                                          Well, you're only out 10 bucks.

                                                      I need also some cheap hosting for my small TGP's.
                                                      I need to put there 4 domains and 5 MySQL databases.
                                                      All this makes no more than 20 GB/month together.
                                                      Where is the best and cheapest place to put it ?

                                                                              I use webair and really like them, live support is really good and they don't limit the number of domains you can have with one account. All my domains there are searchengine stuff, so I can't tell about the database speed.
