As expected, 2005's most anticipated rap album, 50 Cent's appropriately titled The Massacre, will slaughter the competition on next week's Billboard albums chart.
50's sophomore release sold more than 1.1 million copies in its first week, according to SoundScan figures released Wednesday (March 9), easily earning the honor of biggest debut of 2005. The follow-up to the rapper's smash debut, Get Rich or Die Tryin', knocked Omarion's O, the former B2K singer's solo debut, out of the top spot, and outsold second-place-seller Jennifer Lopez's latest, Rebirth, by nearly 1 million units.
