technically, in Canada anyway... you're allowed to use small clips of songs legally... I can't remember what the length was, 3 - 7 seconds or something... you can use that and not have to pay royalties.

I have a sound library worth over 20k.
Completely licensed to use every sound from Hannabarbera Cartoons to a 5 disc Apacolypse Now military sound library from the legendary film, every sound used.
it doesnt come cheap, I believe the Apacolypse now 5 discs was 3k.... and theres no way these companies are paying to use licensed sounds.

i don't think there is such a thing as legal 'sampling'.
but when i listen to the radio, i hear stations doing ads for local businesses and I hear popular music being used underneath the ads and sometimes samples from movies. like today i heard a radio ad and at the end they use James Brown sounds. definitely not legal but I guess people get away with it.I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!Comment
