there are 32 staffers working overtime right now trying to find material to present to grand juries in conservative districts, trying to obtain indictments.

guess what.

LOTS of material is being shown to grand juries (a grand jury is just a special jury of ordinary people who look at stuff to decide if it "might" be obscene) and ONLY the most egregious shit so far is obtaining indictments, i.e., excrement sex, child porn, bestiality, and rape sex.

to my knowledge there have been NO indictments for so-called mainstream smut---even though the Bush war on smut claims to be going after everything including softcore.

that tells you something. ORDINARY mainstream hardcore will be very difficult to convict in comtemporary USA---gay sex, buttfucking, lesbian slurping and strapon sex, etc. will be very difficult to convict since virtually every state has now decriminilized their so-called "sodomy" laws, and now gays can legally marry in some places.

we are NOT seeing indictments of mainstream smut for a reason---ordinary people are no longer offended by it much.

but IF a producer pushes the envelope in a particular direction it's a completely different ballgame.
