    what do you do when..

the men you like are bad choices?

I've been around a long time and been with a lot of men.. and I've come to the conclusion that the ones I like are the type that I end up not liking much for several reasons.

    It's a flaw in me.. so ..

what I've decided to do is.. stay alone..

seems like a good solution to me. I'm pretty darn happy lately being by myself, I've never been alone ever.. and it's a nice change.. I can do what I want.. when I want.. don't have to worry about how the money is spent, or fighting, or how long I stay out or where I go.. it's pretty cool.

has anyone else come to this conclusion?

It is definitely something you need to try. I can't understand people who are never alone. You always have someone else as a major part of your life, but you don't get as much "me" time as you probably need to learn everything about yourself and just relax.

There are some people who really get attracted to the wrong type. They say they must probably have some emotional/psychological problems.

My father used to be an emotionally unavailable rebel.

I used to go after guys with that bad boy persona untill I realized that it was because I was hoping to find one that WAS emotionally connected.

I was lucky to find a good looking smart ass that can fight with me but is also an emotional feelings wishy washy sort of guy.

His female nurtured side balances out my male dominating side, although there are times when I wish his mother didn't spoil him so much.

After he would dry off with a towel, he would drop it on the floor and she would come by and wash it. She also never made him wash dishes cause she wanted him to go out and play after dinner and enjoy being 'young'.

This woman (god bless her heart!) has definitly cut my work out for me!

life is never easy, it's those experiences along the way that we call lessons.. they are called lessons that are supposed to teach us so that we don't do it the wrong way again....

I have made very bad choices in my life with men, but It did get to a point where I knew what I didnt want..and had no problem avoiding the bad boys I so loved to be with...

so I have to ask, how old are you?

Being happy takes work no matter what stage you're in. It is always so much easier to focus on all the stuff that hurts you.

I abhor the idea that as 'individuals', we are incomplete.
We must find our 'other half' in order to be a 'whole'.
This idea is ludicrous, that we are not a whole person by our selves.

Inside each of us there is a uniqe balance that is defined solely by ourselves.

Complimenting personalities can add to this experience as can opposing ones.

There is a difference between being alone and lonely.

Don't resign yourself to being lonely because you are alone at this point.

I didn't mean to imply that at all, hon!

It was just a general statement meant for those that may read this and may be feeling that way.

If you find that you can be happy being alone, then you take that sense of self into any relationship you pursue. I think it is a healthy and rewarding side of character in anyone!

                                                Hi Tia,

You may still be in a state of greif. That's Ok, you suffered a loss and maybe need to go through this. Life changes like that can have a lasting affect. I can't pretend to be all that smart about your particular situation. A lot of us appreciate you being around and want you to be happy. So to that end, maybe a few care packages of batteries .

You know you you can be with someone and still be lonely. That's worse. It's that sole mate we all seek, that is hard to find. Or we had one once and they're gone for some reason.

It's usually easy for a girl to get laid if she wants. For guys, sometimes a good fuck helps a bit. That's not the long term answer of course. Other things that help include shopping or some quality time with your vibrator.

You have family and I think you have a good support group between friends and the people you work with. In this biz, we're kinda alone at the computer a lot.

Never forget about Tia here. So here's a cyber hug!
