I don't know if this is appropriate or not to post here, but with memorial day weekend coming up in the states I just wanted to remind everyone how precious life really is.
Yesterday I received one of the worst phone calls you could receive. It was my best friend calling to let me know that on the weekend one of our friends was in a car accident. She was going up to Kelowna for the weekend to party with some other friends. It was just a regular weekend for her, having fun, that's what she did. Two of her friends were following behind her on the highway when she rounded the corner, that's when it happened. Her car went over the cliff and she was thrown from the car.
She was airtransported to the nearest hospital where she was put on life support. On Tuesday afternoon, she died.
Now we still do not know alot of the details that lead up to this. We don't know if alcohol or speeding were involved, but we do know that she was not wearing her seatbelt.
All I want is to hopefully make someone think before they get behind the wheel of their car. Remember how precious life is before you turn the key, before you shrugg off the seatbelt. Live life to it's fullest, enjoy each and every day and love your loved ones, for you never know what may happen next.
