It'd help to know the scale of your needs. Dedicated hosting on an uncapped 100mbit line, or virtual hosting with 100 gigs a month. It makes a big difference.
Seriously, Joe .. You need to talk to Dweeks at Swiftwill. He is the man, hands down. He's fanatical about security and pretty much ALWAYS available on ICQ, and reasonably priced when you consider on dedicated boxes there's no server fee, just bandwidth (if you buy enough I assume, I buy like 200mbits a second so dunno what happens on say 10mbits per second). I've never had a hack attempt on my server (of about 9 known attempts) get anywhere but stopped dead in it's tracks.
In 3 years I had a couple of short, scheduled downtime for router upgrades. No cognet, Global Crossing and Level 3. BIG thumbs up for Dweeks and crew. Highly reccomend it.
p.s. he hates Bush too, you guys will get along famously.

Also there are servers, and there are servers.
Traceroute or ping creamshots.com .. The is a domain on a dual p4 server running 100mbits constantly. The graph for that port on the router is solid green. That server has about 5 or 6 of my domains, doing cumatively ~1,000,000 hits a day. It's constanly pinned, but it chugs away without fault and answers my pings in about 50ms. Some of the domains have gallery directories with literally tens of thousands of html files in it. One root directory I was lazy with has about 40,000 files, and still answers snappy with the network card pinned at 100mbits. This is an extreme example, and is for free movies on galleries so It can be a little slower, but overall a good deal for $0 extra on top of my bandwidth usage.
