    Why is it important to have a nice watch?

    I recently snatched up a pretty pricey Movado, trying to justify the expense.

    What's yours (justification)?

                          Same reason you want a nice ride or nice clothes or a nice place. A watch is one of the only pieces of jewelry that most men wear, it's pretty visible on your wrist. And for the single guys, everyone knows that hot, shallow chicks always notice it, he he. I bought a nice gold & stainless steel Tag Heuer last year- I like it and get a fair amount of compliments on it when I meet new people.

                              For status of course, if i was at internext and had 2 people offering a big business idea i'd go with the guy who's wearing nice clothes and has some bling instead of the guy in shorts and a tank top.

                                                      Beats me. I have two watches.
                                                      One is a velcro watch that I have on top of the kayak just so I can keep track of how fast I'm going. The other is a decent looking Seiko that was cheap. It's just supposed to keep track of time, nothing else.
