Do you mean right now, when it is just a competitive idea with the possibility to become some kind of law in some places down the line?
I would assume all dating services are looking at if and how to implement this into their systems, even as some type of premium upgrade. "Let us do a background check on you for an additional $19.99 and get a gold star next to your name certifying you are a good person as you will get lots more responses this way" bla bla
I mean, if it becomes law tomorrow they will have to respond. Whether that would mean being forced to scrap their entire database and start from scratch or be given some kind of grace period to run checks on current members (if they grant permission) and purge those that refuse or fail.
Yes I can see True having quite a head start and everyone trying to play catch up for some time if this comes to pass.
They don't have a patent on background checks but as was mentioned on the other site it does reek of something ripe for anti-trust or similiar action.
