Easy Import: ARS sigwhores on ignore (by popular demand)

Simply import this list into your Profile>edit ignore list and you will clean up a good 50% of crap/clutter on GFY.
If you're on this list, you'll probably just post a smilie in reply to this thread.

That is unfortunate but it speaks to the bad marketing decision of ARS to pay the way they are by CPM as it tarnishes everyone with the same brush flying their sig. I can't or don't have the energy to try and discriminate amongst the few real posters amongst them so they all get the ignore treatment. You gotta be crazy to have their sig if you want to be taken seriously.

I have to disagree with that for several reasons.

1 ARS is a good sponsor so there is nothing wrong with promoting them in your sig, you'll send webmasters to a solid program.

2 What's the difference with traffic cash? they bought tons of sigs also I don't hear you about that.

3 If a person looks at my sig rather then what I have to say, believe me I could care less if he/she takes me seriously or not, because I sure as hell won't take that person seriously if he/she lacks the ability of something as basic as knowing how to read.

I am speaking to the dozens of ARS sigwhores who pollute threads with smilies so they can get paid for that post. They are an insult to this board and each of us everytime they post. ARS has sprung them on us because they are paying them per impression or post or however. ARS is a great sponsor but this marketing idea is tarnishing everybody else who may be flying the same sig as witnessed by the ignore lists and comments you see in this thread. Its the way ARS is paying for their sigs that is the problem, not ARS as a sponsor that is the cause of all this. Even if I worked for ARS as the CFO, I would get rid of my sig before I posted as I will unfortunately get ignored by default because of this horrible marketing campaign.

I think what you state is exaggerated. I read plenty of threads here on a daily basis and those smiley posts appear mostly in those "would you hit it" kind of threads.

On serious threads they are mostly absent.

Also I was here before ARS launched this and the ammount of only smiley posts was not les sthen it is now.

So unless you refer to the 90% bullshit posts here meant only to entertain what you say just does not hold up IMO.

the only person I ever put on ignore is that Pedo guy, I don't read what the ones that are 1 or 2 short of a six pack have 2 say.

But that list is getting looooooong. Some time's I check out a thread and don't read shit.
