    AMERICAN IDOL: Does anyone REALLY care?

    OK, this is the last thread like this that I'll do today.

    I watched the first season, and that was it.

    The show is just....so....GAY. When I watch these kids do their 'American Idol' tour, all I can think of is the Brady Bunch.

    I don't give a shit about Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, or Clay Aiken. I have no idea who the finalists are for tonight's show, nor do I care, but I am sure I will be bombarded with this information and ads pushing me to buy their shitty music in the months to come.

    And the scary thing is, the show WILL NOT END FOR A LONG TIME. It's on FOX, and they have a hit, so they will milk it for all it's worth. Torture and suffering for years to come.

    The best thing 'Idol' has resulted in is William Hung.

                                  The other girl just doesn't have the same star quality... I think the rest of the people that made it into the top 12 this time around were idiots and that's why I mostly tuned out this season.

                                              I really don't give a shit, in fact I hate that show. I am so glad my office is again out of ear shot of our living room so I don't have to hear the TV and my wife's stupid shows.

                                                                          americanidol is more than just a singing competition.

                                                                          it is a demonstration of the power of the human spirit---and if you get the message it might even inspire you.

                                                                          the singers are mostly semi-pros used to working a crowd.

                                                                          and then you get a rank amateur with a gift, a girl from nowhere, with no money, and no handlers, who just survives on pure talent and will---she can't put on sophistication, she is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks.

                                                                          and that gal is fantasia.

                                                                          she better win. because my money is that she'll be a bigger star than aretha franklin.
