    Ouch! Painful USD movement...

The world's favoured reserve currency took a shit today...

I suspect it's a result of lackluster US domestic job growth numbers, combined with the revelation that wage increases were a little over 2% whereas base inflation was over 3% (and base inflation doesn't track fuel price increases, which would probably push the real inflation rate up over 5%).

Any other fiscal revelations today that I missed out on that might cause this kind of negative mobility?

      I aim to please.

It's hard on guys like me... I take in a fair bit of revenue in USD. This little downward jolt is going to cost me somewhere in the realm of $500 the next time I go to the bank to deposit, and I'm not nearly rich enough where I can absorb a $500 hit without saying 'ouch' yet.

It's a good thing we Canadians can get US accounts here. That is where I leave my US $$. It was alright yesterday, I would imagine it will climb it's way back up. Hang in there Ricky!

According to that graph, it looks like they've both gone up 20%+ since november... an 80%+ annualized return on investment ain't fucking bad!
