Honestly it really doesn't bug me that much i dont mind putting it down. The only time it pisses me off is if its in the middle of the nite in the dark and i need to take a pee pee and i fall in... bastards!!!

When I go to the bathroom in the middle of the night I check to see if the lid is up or down so I don't pee on the lid and splash piss on my legs. Maybe girls should do the same so they don't fall in. It is the person who is pissing responsibilty to make sure the toilet is in the proper position.
