Blog software?

You aren't going to find true blogging software with a forums system directly integrated. People have created plugins and bridges for some of the various blog/forums combinations, but it takes a little work to make them play nicely together.

I think the easiest way is to continue using a CMS to tie them together. Xoops with the appropriate blog and forums modules would work pretty well. Using a two column theme (left nav and center columns) you could pretty easily strip out all the included blocks and modules and have a really clean blog/forums setup. It's pretty cool being able to easily have your top 10 forums posts on the front page of your blog :-)

Aren't there any modules for pMachine to integrate wordpress or b2evolution blogs? I don't know pMachine well at all.

I think Invisionboard makes blog software that works directly with their forums.

I guess I can screw with pmachine to get it to work nicely. They do have forum software included.

Edit: Should have read the rest of the posts. Still no clue if there is a conversion script.
