                      Yeah, we learned about this in my Oceanography class. Global warming has some fucked up side effects. Ocean's rising, rising global surface temperature, declining soil moisture, heavier rain storms... we're screwed.

                                                      People are already losing their homes. Sea water is bubbling up through the ground. Within 50 years some (previously sovereign) countries will be entirely underwater, with their population having to be migrated/absorbed by neighbors.

                                                      This is happening now. Not some wacky liberal scientists doomsday theory.

                                                          When the Global Warming trend started in the 70's, it came after 1 year of constant ramming down our throats of how "an Ice Age" was coming - which was being pushed by the same people who flipped to the global warming shit.

                                                          Please research the facts, don't just say "it was hot early this year."

                                                          Don't forget the same people pushing this shit on us also claim that the trees are being depleted at an astonishing rate, when we have 3 times as many trees as we did 100 years ago.

                                                          Same people who claim if we don't recycle our grandchildren will be wading through trash in their own cribs; in fact 40% of all recycle pick-ups end up in land fills anyways. Astonishing.

                                                                                              I've seen evidence of the shifting poles and how it's happened many times before, but haven't known when the last reversal was... If you've got any websites with evidence of that or of the shifting of the north pole that would be great ;]

                                                                                              If I recall correctly for all of you easily scared ones, it takes many years for a reversal, not overnight like the movies would portray for entertainment purposes....

                                                                                              But the end result of this entire argument is this is not the effect of R-12 freon or driving a Hummer...
