Is life all about...?
getting up at 6 am to sit in traffic to get to your job for 8+ hours a day. Listening to a dick head all day and waiting for a whole 2 days off on the weekend. Thats all i hear "how was your weekend?" Getting 14 days vacation out of 365 days?!. And there is no such thing as a "9-5" if you include in the time you have to get ready and travel time. People do this for years and years no wonder the world is full of criminals. Soooooo many people do it and its sad, life should not be that way. What do you think?

It DOES suck, but responsible people have no choice but to provide for their loved ones (unless you just don't care about anything and want to be a bum).
There is such a life as the one you wish for. It's called belonging to a tribe and living in the middle of nowhere.

That's why I love working for myself. I'm there for the kids when I'm needed. I can sleep in if I want. No one to look over my shoulder all day... except Adam, of course.Comment

Yea im half way out of the grind. I'm an electrician and i work on my own but i still have to get up at 8 am and work till around 4 or 5. When I get home i do my interent stuff.Jealousy... is a mental cancer. ~B.C. ForbesComment

yes its very depressing. I have a similar routine, I hate my dayjob, but im using the money I earn wisely, and building towards the freedom I long for, and soon in the not so far off future im gonna take the leap to self employment and I'll be all the more prepared and thankful for it when I achieve it.Comment

That is why I have been self employed for 12 years of my life. I have plenty of time with my family and I can work as much or as little as I want.
