if you think this is about anything other than us wanting to gain and keep control of abundant oil supplies then you're a propaganda victim. We don't go after dictators on human rights grounds, we INSTALL them when it suits our purposes and we back them against their opposition.
It's not American to kill for oil, and it's not American to believe everything your leaders tell you without looking into the situation for yourself.
There's a word for a nationalist political system that puts your own country's financial well-being above all other considerations. It's called Fascism. There's a word for people who believe their nation is greater than all others just because they were born here, and that word is 'Fascist'. Call it what it is. Waving a flag doesn't make you a Patriot and a good citizen, working to make your government accountable and just does.
Not gonna be too long until people with your viewpoint are themselves going to be considered terrorists and sent to Guantanamo Bay.

why can't the US wait for UN weapon inspectors to continue their work for a few more months, like Germany, Russia, France and China want?
Hussein has no chance of making weapons while they are inspecting, at best he can hope they don't find anything, and if they do find something then at least it would give credibility to a US led attack.
The person who has killed more innocent people in the last 24 months is not Osama Bin Laden not Saddam Hussein but President Bush in Afghanistan, the estimates of civilian casualties are far greater than 4000, and what has been achieved?
The United States government is hated in more places than ever, and there are MORE terrorists wanting to kill US citizens.
Now tell me how this is a smart policy?
