Notice the Xbox has hardly any Xbox EXCLUSIVE games anymore? They all eventually come out on the PC, or they are released accross all 3 systems.
That said, the xbox is the BEST system to play a multiplatform game on. And Xbox Live is very well setup.

Also, to say what the best xbox games is a problem. I played Halo, it was amazing. I think Halo was a better game than Halo 2. Yet Halo 2 is a better game for someone who has played neither of them.
Same goes for Splinter Cell ... or Knights of the Old Republic ... Rallisport challenge, project gothem racing, burnout, etc etc ... all these games that i played through now have 'better' sequals. So my opinion is its best to say which game brands are best on the xbox:
Halo, Halo 2
Knights of the Old Republic, Sith Lords
Splinter Cell, Pandora Tomorrow
Burnout 3 (the other 2 were nowhere near as good)
Project Gotham Racing 1 and 2
Rallisport Challenge 1 and 2
