I refuse to pass judgement on the guy and let the jury decide.
I do think he is a freak and that he really does think he is a child himself. Am I convienced he is a molestor, no I am not.
What little evidence I have heard is very easily explainable if you let your mind pretend it was a couple kids and not a grown man and some kids. This of course is in relation to my thinking that he is mentally wacked and does think he is a kid himself.
All we really have is a few things so far.
He and his lawyers payed off a previous case which anyone will ussually do instead of going to court no matter the type of case if it really can hurt your business and you can afford the settlement.
He admitted to sleeping in same room and possible bed with a few kids and does not see what it wrong with it. If your a molestor generally you would deny everything, plus as I said I really think he thinks he is a kid himself and thus in his mind it is the same as when anyone as a child had sleep overs.
He may have shown kids some naughty pictures. Well I feel he more than likely did do this. I also feel it was done just as most of us did when we were 10-14 or so. Kids often pull out dads playboy, hustler, or penthouse and look at the pictures together, often giggling and making wise cracks. This does not make a molestor, specially since these appear to be straight niche porn and not gay porn which could be used to persuade someone into thinking it is ok for two guys to do things with each other. Then if he did not show them the magazines/pictures from the 60's! I would make a solid presumption that they should have his prints on them since he had them for so damn long.
Then my biggest issue is that he had literally 1000's of kids at his places. Though of all those 1000's of children there are so few claiming any missconduct at all. He obviously had the influence and ability to molest many more if he was doing it, but for some reason he did not? Well why is it when one priest gets charged people fly out of the woodwork saying it was done to them as well?
