    My house is a slaughterhouse today.....

    Little corpses are littering the house upstairs and down.. the cats found a family of mice and decimated them, one by one. I keep stumbling over more corpses, and I woke up to them killing the mother this morning. They started killing the babies last night around 9 pm or so, and it went on all through the night. Thumpthump Squeak thumpthump squeak.

    It's so wet outside the mice are being driven in, and the last fucking thing I need is a mouse infestation. Little fuckers. GRR!!! I can't wait to move! :P

    On a side note, I'm surprised at my little female cat. My males are 14 pounds and 19 pounds, and they just play with the mice.. my little female is like 5 pounds and she is an executioner. She killed two mice to their every one, and she was fierce doing it. Wow

    Anyways, I'm done babbling now.. I'm so tired I'm crosseyed though I hardly slept a wink all night long.

                                  Yuck. This week my dogs keep coming in the house with little tiny dead baby birds. They must be falling out of a nest somewhere on my property that I can't seem to locate. What a disgusting mess. I feel for you, although it's nicer to get rid of mice than cute little birdies...

Usually dead little things inspire a lot of compassion in my daughter, but the dead mice didn't seem to overly upset her. Guess she saw how hard I cried when the little fuckers destroyed my antique chair while it was in storage.

I used to breed Gerbils for pet shops.. But field mice are vermin, and especially around here where they are known carriers of deadly hantavirus, I'm glad to let the cats deal with them.

I had never heard a baby mouse scream before my cat got one. Most of the mice just left on their own. I guess they figured the elements would be kinder to them than the cat would be.
