    What's A Good 20-21 Inch LCD Monitor ??

Hey everyone, I'm gonna be building a new computer system next month and instead of using my old monitor, I'm gonna buy a new one, so I'm thinking about leaving my CRT ways and jumping up to a 20-21 inch LCD monitor, but don't really have any experience with them and I live away from a lot of the bigger computer stores, so I can't really sample any. Rite now I'm considering the ViewSonic VP201B because I've heard good things on some sites, but also so-so things on other sites.

One thing that I'm afraid of nowadays is "Ghosting". I play a lot of the latest games and I'd like to have the best quality for games, that's one reason why I've been sticking to CRT. Is the picture quality as good, if not better on an LCD OR should I wait a little bit longer ???

As far as space goes, that's not a big issue, however, it would be nice to have something smaller like an LCD. I know that the CRT is big, that's really not a problem, I'll jump up to a 22-inch CRT ViewSonic P220F for half the price if it's that much better.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Oh yeah, I'd really prefer to have the monitor in black to go with the rest of my stuff, however, if it's not all black, that'd be fine, just as long as it's good

Look for something with 400:1 or higher contrast ratio and lower than 20ms response time

Thanks for the recommondation KRL, I'll dig into that.

B40, the Viewsonic that I have my eye on has both a 400:1 ratio and 16ms response time, so I'm on the rite track

I've got two of the viewsonic 19"ers... they're the fucking shit.

I'd imagine the 20-21" ones are the shit as well.
