That's exactly what we're going for! The design right now is so amatuer it's ridiculous, but the surfers love it. I wanted to make things better, but not drastic because the amateur niche is doing very well for us. That's why we did it ourselves instead of outsourcing, we want to keep the 'we do it ourselves' look and feel.

Yea, it's hard for a professional to get the 'real' amateur look. If it is indeed for a true real amateur site, you are better off doing it yourself. Alot of people think surfers are dumb, and some are, but they know what a real amateur site looks like and if that's what they want, you have it!

From a designers pov it looks like crap, this doen't mean it won't convert ofcourse. Like mentioned you want a good amateur feeling and I think you managed to get that.

If it works out for you thats great, good luck with it ;)

On "tour2", that traffic cone shot up her snatch looks fake. In amateur, one thing the surfers want is real. You need to either make that look real or ditch it altogether. If it is real, you need a different shot to make the point (maybe a close-up shot from a low angle?).
