Probably around 1-2 hours a day. I think I waste most of my time trying to contact people because they didn't do what they were supposed to do the very first time.

Also, have you guys noticed people do not like to use the phone in this business? It's almost like they are scared of it. They would rather spend forty-five minutes on ICQ trying to explain something that would've taken five minutes to take care of over the phone.
        Okay, I'm finished venting

When I was paying for outsourced employees, it was a full-time job keeping them in line.

I work constantly all day every day and into the night, making deals, contacting people, posting, writing and answering e-mails, and icq.. my list is so long it takes me forever to find someone on it, and I have to stay invisible so I can get work done.

I am one busy girl.. but you know what they say.. if you want something done.. ask a busy person ;)

EB you seem to have a lot of trouble with this. Why not hire some full time people to be your bitches? Offer a nice salary and some decent perks, a package that any employee would HATE to lose.

I think some of you are approaching this the wrong way, either that or you have extremely bad luck.

Quality in-house people are the way to go methinks. Way too many screwballs in this biz who have way too many excuses ready for when they fuck up and don't get the job done.

And then you can supplement the in-house people with work done by freelance designers, programmers etc who have solid reputations.

Repetitive grunt work - outsourcing companies.

Hiring people on a per job basis, unless they have exceptional references, will probably not gonna get rid of these problems.
