OK here's what I would do, I started the shit.

Spend some time trying to contact old friends that I have cared about, but have lost touched with.
Come clean within myself and admit the errors I have made.
Travel and spend some time just talking and listening to regular people in some small towns across the USA.

Pay a good writer to sit down with me and listen; then write my bio called "If I only knew then what I know then" principle.

Set up my will, including my funeral. Just take my dead body in a wooden $69 pine box up in a helicopter while loud speakers play, (Sid Vicious's) version of "I did it my way," and drop the fucking dead ass in the Atlantic ocean.

I would definitely sky dive, take a trip with my family, eat very well and make sure everyone I'm leaving behind is taken care of, and last but not least, dig a few holes in the desert and rid of some scum from the past

I wasn't even given the traditional 6 months. I don't know if it was simply denial because it was a somewhat unreal time, but my main reaction was to get into all the stuff - diet, exercise, etc - I should have worried about earlier.

I have no idea whether that helped, but for whatever reason I'm still here, coming up on 9 years. It's a good thing I didn't go on a last-minute binge and blow everything

The most lasting change in my life has been that a lot of the things which used to matter most - ambition, money, peer opinion, etc - don't count for very much any more. A week in intensive care serves as a fairly salutary reminder as to how easily it can all be taken away.
