it looks like im in pasv mode... i was looking for a way to switch it before but couldnt find it... looking further into it on cuteftp help.. will let u know.

There should be an option in vsftpd to allow resuming downloads

In proftpd it is a single line added to the config file

AllowStoreRestart on

switching from paxv didnt help;

200 PORT command successful. Consider using PASV.
COMMAND:> LIST
ERROR:> Timeout (60000 ms) occurred on receiving server response.

Try using flashfxp [flashfxp.com] and login without pasv mode, it could be a setting changed in cuteftp, so try a different proggy ^^

Total Commander (windows commander - old name) - only one thing what you need for work with files

never have any problem using this programm.

i just downloaded flashfxp and it's doing the same exact thing on all of the servers in my list...

so i guess it must have something to do with my local ISP perhaps? any ideas?

Really looks like firewall problem. Try another ftp server somewhere like dl.xs4all.nl and see what happens

Thats probably a problem with the reverse dns lookup of your clients ip address. if you have ssh access to the server you could try WinSCP to transfer your files.

Ok, got $25. Quick search on google and problem was solved

in flash fxp do this open quick conenct then put your info in then hit the [toggles] tab and select the bottom option [site uses ip masq/nat/non-routable ip] if that dont work tr it again the same way except unselect [passive] see if that helps you
