    NEW! Wordpress 2.1 Just Released - Get it now

    Hey everyone-
    wordpress 2.1 was just released. you can read the announcement and download it here:
    http://wordpress.org/development/2007/01/ella-21/It includes a bunch of new features, tweaks and security fixes (for those of you who didnt upgrade to 2.0.7)

              could a script be setup to do this? maybe smokey the bear could help us out. if not, some savy programmer around here should be able to do this. this updating shit is getting old. I plan on having a thousand blogs one day. how the heck can i update them all.

                                          Yes. It's being updated as we speak to the newest version. We waited because we knew a few quick bugfix versions would come out prior to a major 2.x release.

                                          Expect an announcement in a day or so. BTW ABPSA is not affected at all by wordpress.

                                                  I ahve an interesting theory about "new tree" version of software.

                                                  Wait 10 minutes. There will be a 2.1.1 version soon enough, I am sure, probably by friday. I took a quick look at all of the reported bugs on this version, and I can see where an update is going to come very quickly indeed.

                                                      I see it wasnt 1.7 I upgraded to, it was 2.0.7

                                                      but still another upgrade just a few days later. When is the next one going to be, this satuday maybe?
