    Get fucking PC games on DVD's already

    I just bought Far Cry for the PC, and got Unreal tournament 2004 a while back. A dozen cd's for UT and 5 cd's for Far Cry... makes me think of the good old days of installing games with 20 floppy disks.

    Everyone has got DVD players now, so why not stick them all on a goddamned DVD? Those few who are still behind, won't be getting powerhouse games like these anyways, since they require top PC Hardware anyways....

      I don't have a DVD player in my PC, so not "Everybody" has one. Then again, I don't have a use for one in my PC yet. I use the one attached to my tv for movies, and no games come on DVD yet ;)

          My computer's pretty powerful and has no DVD player. I am a video gamer. It's 5 disc swaps ... If you've got time in your day to play a video game, you've got time to switch discs.

              sounds like a good idea to me... but I bet 6 cd's are still cheaper for the manufacturer than 1 dvd

                  They are probably about the same cost media wise.. but I am sure the hardware to press dvds is more expensive then the CD ones or something.

                      The DVD version of UT2004 is available. That's the one I bought when it came out.

                      Far Cry didn't have one on DVD. But I'm pretty sure this will be standard pretty soon.
