I met someone that has a Legit email list for sale... (What is aprox worth)

This guy is a so called Spammer?

I donno But he has a system on aol any Screen name that "clicks" his porn link is saved in a file?

He said something along the lines of php?sn=" " So every sn that clicked his link is saved?

What type of list would this be? single optin?

How much would this list be worth? 400k (@aol.com's)

Names in the list 100% alive/fresh

To be honest would I be able to mail this with out it being spam?

I have seen his link on aol and It does indeed track that persons aol sn that clicks it using %s function with aim.

so if you have AIM Try it out put www.%s.com doing so in your profile..It will have your sn as the .com for the person viewing it.. so no doubt in my mind it does collect the names..

I don't think you can log AOL ip's most are on 56k and the ips change everytime they sign online..

100k minors

100k adults who are so used to deleting spam they do it subcontiously

plus, 400k is small

I convert 1:110 at least when I spam AOL and 400k would only bring me in about 5 signups

And did you meet someone with the list or do YOU have it ;)

It's so easy to harvest aol names if you have the easily coded software to do so, people who buy lists are really just silly

I was talking along the lines People that "clicked" the porn link There sn's would be saved and the screen names that didn't click the link would NOT be saved?

That has to have some worth?

think about it, if he converted 1:200 (should be better than that anyway with aol traffic) he'd have gotten 1,000 signups (unless my math is terribly wrong)

1,000 x 25 = $25,000

aka he'd be re-spamming this so called super list with different content and balling his ass off instead of sharing or selling it

The problem is you are thinking about Unique hits..

Everyone knows that if you have 400k Clicks only about 1/2 of them are uniques at min.

So, 200k at 1:400ish 1:200 = golden CV ratio still 15k

A. That's NOT an opt-in list. Clicking on a blind link that say "click here for my webcam" is not the same as opting in to receive spam.

B. AOL has spam filters in place that would keep an amateur from successfully mailing that list.

C. That list is too small to make decent cash, I would think.

D. There's no honor among thieves and crooks. When you trust a scammer you get scammed.
