I have seen another guy, around here, posting a baloon affiliate program, my friend works in a porn warehouse, and people are always ordering baloon shit, it must be pretty decent. He should be flashing his sig right about now, very unique, very different.
in my book.

I never understood this niche either. I can see plushies, watersports, infantilism, etc. Not into them but I can understand the appeal...
watersports=degredation
plushies = fantasy roleplaying
infantilism = helpless sub
... but balloons? Wtf?
What is the angle?Comment

guys, a fetish is something that either you have or don't have - if you don't have it - most likely you won't understand it other wise it wouldn't be called a fetish.
Sara seems to understand that point.
by the way - I don't understand it either but I don't give a shit I'm in it for the money.
Now my question is how well is the balloon niche converting for guys already promoting compared to other niches.Comment

Nice!
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.Comment

Probably not as good as balloon, but with the balloon niche you have to understand the niche or you will never be able to make it convert.Originally posted by Zester

This is one niche you can not fake an understanding of. I have done research into it, and I still don't really get itComment

one thing I will say about balloon fetish is that of all the fetishes I have researched for the writing project I am working on it is simply one of the most complex. I keep diving into the research, doing the interviews and writing material for a week at a time and then having to put it away and come back to it with fresh eyes. Heck, writing the chapter on sexual cannibals was easier.
Don't go there if you haven't done any research at all.Comment

yes and to add to it just in that one statement you hit on a seperation of the type of classification for the behaviours. For example, someone that is into balloons primarily for the material (ie latex/rubber) fits the classic definition of a fetish (ie, having to have the motive for the attraction be a material, shape or a body part that isn't otherwise considered sexual such as feet). The others technically don't fit into fetish but rather sub groupings of other paraphillias.Originally posted by baddog

Then we get into the whole popper vs non-poppers.
Either way, don't forget the thrill of anticipation and bit of danger that comes with not knowing when or if the balloon is going to pop.Comment

Definitely check out Naughty Niche. Emma's Balloons is one of the oldest balloon sites on the net & retains because it actually understands the fetish. Not just a slap 'em up kind of site you'll see with the major sponsors.
I think part of the balloon fascination has to be that it invokes memories from a more innocent time - birthday parties where everthing was simple & happy. I don't get why that's a turn on exactly, but I think it's kind of sweet & refreshing departure from a lot of the crazy shit in porn now.Comment

one of the most complex fetishes around, with an interesting sub-culture. After researching this fetish I have never looked at a balloon hanging from a tree limb in a park, or floating in the sky above the city the sameOriginally posted by sarah_webinc

some people that i have interviewed have talked about the innocence aspect but for most of them it is the pop or the sudden noise that broke that innocent moment and scared them. They feeling they had when they were suddenly scared is a feeling that many of them have translated into their adult sexuality. Perhaps that noise excited them at that age and they had their first or nearly first hardon. That is something I have heard a number of times from the people that have contacted me.
This is one of those fetishes that is wired firmly into a developing sexuality. Of course, there are those who come at it later in life but the vast majority I have talked to have held a secret interest in balloons - even if they haven't been able to identify the nature of the interest until later - with them through most of their lives.Comment

Thank you to everybody who suggested the Naughty Niche program.
While we are not the oldest balloon fetish site around, we are pretty close; as well as undoubtedly the largest . We offer our members well researched, & targeted content, regular interaction, and immediate response to requests. We also do not lie to our members and try to pretend that we are fetishists ourselves.
We feel that such levels of honestly and integrity, combined with a sense of community and a great product all contribute to our member loyalty. Great retention means more money for our affiliates too! We offer 60% recurring, along with some great promotional tools.
Finally, our widespread media exposure, offers partners all of the benefits that come from branding, making sales even easier.
If anybody needs some help in promoting us, dont hesitate to drop myself or Kassidy an email, and we will do whatever it takes to help you make those sales; as well as keep those sales rebilling for you.Comment

it`s a rare fetish niche and to tell the true, I don`t understand it at all... but I`ve seen numerous sites with this stuff, i.d.

I just went through our Ccbill stats to give a potential affiliate current numbers. For the past 30 days, our affiliates have averaged 1 sale for every 132.8 clicks to Emmas Balloons.
Of course, the traffic in most cases is targeted, but I think that is a pretty good ratio regardless :-)Comment

But the poppers are only one group. There are other looners who only like the squeezing & the threat of pop. It loses all appeal for them if the balloon actually pops.Originally posted by sarah_webinc

yup.. the whole popper vs non-popper thing is fascinating. Even a good number of the non-poppers still recalled a sudden popping moment as a catalyst..like they wanted to get as close to it but 'protect' it from happening again. So interesting.Comment
