ok I need help--Any SEO or BLOG ppl?

ok so I found this http://www.blogburner.com/ anyone seen this b4 and is it worth it??

basically, you set up a free blog at blogger.com have this program crawl your site and post a few times every 15mins (using post via email or the API at blogger) then ping the crap out of yahoo and other rss feed aggregators. Search Engine traffic comes quickly as do the search engine bots.

I need your input..HELP!!

Not worth it. If you are having trouble getting the SE's to drop by your brand new sites , just ping a few pages manually yourself to get their attention and they will become regular visitors and get your whole site indexed.

you can ping yourself, and most blog scripts like wordpress.org have it setup so every post your write pings without you having to do anything.

it doesn't look like you can buy that script outright, you have to keep paying him per batch... and it's way too expensive for the dubious benefit. plus, automated pinging is just as bad as comment or trackback spam, eventually if you go too hard you will get caught and banned... no more traffic.

Interesting responses. I never said whether it was a mainstream or adult site. So, am I only going to get banned if it's ADULT sites??

I also have 400,000 pages to blog, doing this manually is going to take FOREVER~~~so RICTOR, what script do u suggest that I use?

Btw , any programmer can do the EXACT same software for 50 or 100$ for a ton of blog services to ping.

You only ping blog services , its not rocket science

cURL+PHP do one ping with 1 line of code

do you want to keep the 400K pages long term? if so, stick to good content, link trading, blogrolling... if not, spam away

you don't need to ping for every page... even a few good links will get vast amounts of stuff spidered... and it is getting stuff to stick in the index without getting relegated to the supplemental cache that is the challenge.

like vas said, a few good quality well linked blogs linking out to selected commercial stuff will get anything you want spidered and indexed in a few days max.

99% of off the shelf programs suck.

Study their methods, read offsite testimonials/criticisms, absorb the good ideas(if any), improve on them and make something or get it made yourself so your pages/methods aren't the same as hundreds/thousands of others who bought the program.

I've found that using Yahoo's RSS feeds is a great way to get your pages/sites indexed quick, but what benefit in terms of ranking I have no idea.

As an aside, I personally hate Yahoo's algo (mostly because I haven't figured out - actually, I haven't bothered to figure out - how the hell the get some of the horrid results they have in their SERPs).

But i use a custum system similar at the one you gave the url , but on a VERY VERY VERY large scale.

In fact , the software you showed , is approx 5% of my system.

Update and maintain 40k to 60k blog daily on different subject is not really hard , with fresh content every 15 to 30 mins. All automated of course.
I can add 200 to 300 new blogs daily.

Its so fucking easy and fast , i dont have the time to find a sponsor for each keyword i have a blog for.

I get 200 to 300 hits daily for biotech , i dont even know where to send them.

A tip i can tell you, go custum , not off the shelf software. 99% of them totally suck and get you banned if you are not using them correctly.
