    Is Flash Pretty Much Standard Now?

    I remember when I first started doing flash sites people said that it was stupid because not everyone had the plugins installed. Is it safe to say that now almost 100% of the surfers have flash plugins installed?

      Yes. Doesn't mean it helps you convert by having flash... it's just good for certain things in the adult world anyway.

          in the future i do think it will really help you convert better.

          the distinction of standard html to flash is practically equivalent to the distinction of slideshow pictures to motion picture film.

              flash installed is 87% of my viewers on a 100k/month site , not bad . i wish it were more.

                  until SE spiders can read Flash, I would stay away from it . . unless you just don't care about SE traffic

                      Yea, Flash looks nice, but Its not a standard yet I dont think
                      SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60. Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

                          Yea, I'd say it's pretty standard. I personally hate it so much I installed the flash blocker plugin for Firefox so I don't have to see it unless I want to. I fucking hate flash because so many sites / designers have misused it. [/rant]

                                      I fucking hate flash websites. Special when they do all the navigation and text in flash. Those god damn flash scroll bars suck too. Animations or other cool interactive things are ok. But whole pages made out of it sucks ass.

                                              Personally I think flash websites are a hassle. But Im not totally against them either.

                                              88% of my viewers have Flash installed. I get about 5000 unique hits a month.
                                              Its an okay statistic, but I dont think it warrants flash as a standard in any web industry.
