The French canadians want to separate from the rest of Canada but keep financial ties to the rest of Canada. Because they are Distinct! meaning that the rest of Canada could care less or the Counry of France either. Give the west a Vote and Quebec would be history.

I'd just say this, there are imo 3 types of French-Canadians in Canada.
1.) French-Canadians who lives in Montreal
2.) French-Canadians who lives in Quebec far from Montreal
3.) French-Canadians who do not live in Quebec.
Group1 is alright, open to other culture, speaks english and generally very open-minded.
Group2 tends to be more narrow-minded, close on their little Quebec culture, don't know how to speak english - feel insecure about what's out there, etc.
Group3 is billingual, moved out from Quebec maybe. So they are like the rest of Canadians, they identify themselves as Canadians who speak french.Comment
