really...a lot of us here grew up as part of the HIV/AIDS scare generation but how much do you know about other STDs and in particular herpes? I personally know two people in the last year that have tested positive..one on either side of the atlantic. Then, I read an article the other day over here about a large increase in cases of herpes amongst teenagers in the UK who think oral sex is perfectly safe, etc.
Are performers in the industry tested for it as regularly as they are HIV, etc. My one friend in the States reported difficulty in getting a proper test for it stating that the clinc said something about there having to be a 'break out' to do wide spread testing. I don't know how much of that is true since I don't live there.
